How Fortem Group collects, uses and protects personal data under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

We only collect what you give us through our forms: your name, business name, company number, business email, phone number, role, and details of what you buy or the enquiry you're making. We do not collect payment card details through this website.
We use your details to assess and manage trade account applications, prepare and follow up quotes, respond to brand enquiries, and — where you've opted in — send you stock and clearance alerts. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests (responding to business enquiries and operating a trade account) and consent for marketing messages such as the WhatsApp list. You can withdraw consent at any time.
Your data is visible only to Fortem Group staff who need it. We use trusted service providers to host the site and to deliver form submissions to us by email; they process data on our instructions under contract. Some of these providers operate outside the UK and EEA, in which case transfers are made under appropriate safeguards. We do not sell, rent or trade personal data, ever.
Enquiries submitted through this site are delivered to us by email and stored in our UK-based mailbox. Data is encrypted in transit. Account passwords, where applicable, are hashed and never stored in readable form. Access is restricted and logged.
Trade account records are kept for the life of the account and for six years afterwards to meet UK accounting and tax requirements. Unsuccessful applications and general enquiries are deleted within 12 months. Marketing consent records are kept until you withdraw consent.
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access your data, correct it, have it deleted, restrict or object to how we use it, and request a portable copy. Email us and we'll respond within one month. If you're unhappy with our response you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
This site uses no advertising or third-party tracking cookies. Any analytics we use is privacy-preserving and does not identify individual visitors, which is why you won't see a consent banner.
